The older I get, the more important I think it is to commit to crafts that kids can make themselves as part of the holiday festivities. Was I the only woman staying up late to do all the work and craft cute things for kids to enjoy during the holiday? Probably not.

That’s why I think these carrot favor boxes are something that you’re going to love if you’re a busy woman who still wants to make holidays special for kids and adults like. This craft is easy enough for kids to make themselves so they’re actually helping you prepare. It gives them a job and helps make memories along the way. There’s nothing like the whole family chipping in to get the home ready for the holiday or to welcome guests!
Using just pompoms, scissors and glue, these adorable carrot favor boxes come to life. I’ve used a small, 2″ x 2″ sized favor box which comes in a pack of 12. The smaller sized box made the whole craft come together faster. Plus, it’s the perfect sized box for jelly beans – a very quintessential Easter treat! But of course, you can substitute for whatever Easter favor – whether edible or not – that works for your guests!
And if you’re not hosting, but rather attending Easter festivities, this is a really nice favor idea for kids to take to hand out to a crowd, such as their cousins at Grandma’s house or friends at church. Just in the spirit of thoughtful giving and sharing!

Materials
- ยพโ large pompoms, in orange and green
- Glue gun
- Scissors
- Favor boxes
Steps

- Stack two orange and one green pom-pom on top of each other with hot glue.ย See, how it looks like a pudgy caterpillar?
- Now use scissors to make two diagonal cuts on the stack. Make one cut across the top to make a carrot shape. Trim pompoms as needed till desired carrot shape is achieved.ย
- Glue carrots onto favor boxes.ย
P.S these carrot favor boxes would be super cute for any themed party as well – birthdays, baby showers, or bridal showers! I can see them working for a Peter Rabbit themed baby shower or even a farmer’s market themed bridal shower, which is trending right now!
