Nothing beats a printable Thanksgiving coloring mat! It’s the oldest trick in the book for how to keep kids busy at the dinner table. Set out some crayons and a coloring placemat. Of course, you can keep it simple with a butcher block and have kids make their own pictures – maybe provide them prompts too. But if you have a little extra time, a little extra budget – why not be a little more extra with a custom designed printable Thanksgiving coloring mat?

Introducing my printable Thankgiving coloring mat. I’ve designed this placemat to be aesthetically pleasing for the discerning hostess. The one who likes for the kids table to be as festive as the adults. This printable coloring mat features organic leaf shapes (I actually went out and collected fall leaves on my walk to make this printable for you.) I paired it with an elegant script font and I included a little bit of space for kids to write 5 things they are thankful for.
The writing exercise helps make this printable suitable for children of different ages – from toddlers to tweens. Older kids can write what they’re thankful for whereas younger children can color and perhaps an adult can help fill out the writing part.
Now to be honest, mindful coloring is still trending with adults, so even if you’re hosting Thanksgiving just for adults, these placemats can be a fun addition to your holiday table.
Not hosting Thanksgiving dinner? Honestly, there are so many other ways to celebrate autumn and the spirit of giving thanks this time of year.
One idea I love is hosting a pie and tea party for your family, friends, book club or whomever! Instead of making a full meal of turkey and sides and the whole hoopla, you just serve pies and some tea to compliment it. They can be pies you make yourself or store bought ones. It can even be a pie potluck. Gestures like this gather everyone together and it can be a good option if you have other plans for Thanksgiving dinner – such as going out of state to visit family – or if you don’t celebrate Thanksgiving all together.
I think these printables are perfect for a ladies night autumn pie and tea party. Enjoy fall while it lasts with a relaxing night of mindful colorful and meaningful gratitude conversation starters.
